GUIDING YOUNG SWIMMERS TO COMPETITIVE SUCCESS

22-12-2023

At Swim Max, we’re committed to our swimmers' swimming journey. Right from the start and until they’re ready (and if they want) to move into competitive swimming clubs we guide them every step of the way.

We take immense pride in the achievements of our swimmers. Many of our success stories involve children who began their swimming journey with us as complete beginners when they were just 3-4 years old. Some swimmers started even earlier in our Baby/Toddler & Parent groups. Today, these swimmers are excelling in the competitive swimming world and we couldn't be more proud of them.

Before Covid kicked in one of our top level groups, the Pre-Club kids group (ages 7-11) were doing one hour training sessions 4 times per week. That’s a total of 4 hours per week, the same as competitive club first level swimmers. They also participated in various competitions including the Community Games, Novice galas where they performed exceptionally well and won numerous medals.

Our swimmers not only excel individually but also thrive as a group. They built strong friendships and bonded within their training groups, creating a supportive and enjoyable environment.

What sets Swim Max apart from swimming clubs is our focus on individual attention. In our Pre-Club groups we limit the number of swimmers to a maximum of 10, ensuring that each swimmer receives personalised guidance. This allows us to provide meticulous corrections and guidance tailored to each swimmer's needs. In contrast, swimming clubs often have over 30 swimmers per coach.

As soon as the pools reopened, we sent our Pre-Club swimmers to competitive swimming club trials, where they were all accepted. A very proud moment for the swimmers, parents and the Swim Max team.

Several years have now passed, and the majority of these swimmers continue to compete and achieve excellent results. Three girls from this group, now aged 12, have even joined the prestigious Munster squad.

At Swim Max, we’re more than just a swimming school; we’re a swimming family. We’ll always be proud of our swimmers no matter what the result.
